Well run and friendly staff. In the case of this place saying 'its rubbish' it's a good thing;)

It's rather odd to be typing about an awesome experience at the tip, but that's exactly what we got! Having hired the van, sorted the time off work and collected the stuff to tip, we were at first rather peeved to find out the Salisbury tip was closed for the two days. However we headed from Laverstock to the Amesbury tip and I can happily say I will never visit 'the other one' again. Much easier for manoeuvring (which means a high top long wheel base rental next time, be warned fellas!). But the biggest plus is the really wonderful staff. The two blokes that were there on both days were courteous, helpful and polite, even to rude Americans who didn't know what aluminium is and especially to me, seven months pregnant with far too much to do!! Their friendliness made everyone else friendly, meaning little old ladies were assisted with their household rubbish and people were kindly directed back and forth. We visited multiple times over the two days and I have to say I feel a pang of sorrow that it will be some time before we return! Absolute 10/10, well worth the journey from Salisbury and the extra diesel cost. Thanks again lads! I might even bring you biscuits next time :D.
